When: February 8th

I hope it’s good and windy today where you live so you can enjoy kite flying day. Kites have been around for a long time. There is something about that simple diamond shaped paper covered contraption on a string that’s so much fun for kids and grown ups.

Kites have been used for everything from military applications for signaling and communication to experiments to test wind, distance and don’t forget Ben Franklin supposedly flew a kite and discovered electricity dunno2 Kites are also used for meteorological (say that 5 times quick)experiments , pulling surfers thru the surf and for pulling people across the beach on a skateboard.

Kites come in all shapes and sizes and are available just about everywhere which makes it very easy for you to “Go Fly a Kite!”
